DIY: Drunk Jenga.. A recipe for disaster

So I was that excited to play this game, that I think I may have made it for myself before I was even of the legal drinking age and had the opportunity to use it ha ha ha. Anyway, I thought I would make a post about it because this game is perfect for a friends night in or a big party that brings everyone together for some dangerous fun.

This DIY is super easy to make and at the end of it you’ll have a super awesome drinking game that everyone else at the party will wish they had thought of creating first.

What you’ll need:

  • A pack of Jenga (Brand or no brand who cares? No one. They just want to get drunk)
  • Felt tip pens of many colours
  • A biro + paper

So, there’s an endless amount of fun ideas to write on the Jenga blocks, but you’ll be restricted to somewhere of around 50. I will include all of the ones I used below and some more I wanted to include but couldn’t – you don’t have to use these, there are many more all over the internet and if you wanted to, you could even create some of your own! I suggest creating a list on a computer document so you know you’ve got an idea for every brick and not too many or too less. So here are a few suggestions for your game and I will list the name of each idea and what the rule is behind it:

  • Baby Got Back: Give 2 drinks to the person you think has the best behind
  • Battle of the Sexes: Everyone of the opposite gender must take 1 drink
  • Beauty Swap: Switch places with who you think is the most beautiful person playing the game
  • Blind Man: Take your next turn with your eyes closed
  • Bottoms Up: All players excluding you, must finish their drink
  • Categories: Player picks a category of things. Players go around naming things from that category until repeated or at a loss. Loser drinks
  • Cheers: Everyone must take a drink
  • Come + Get It: Everyone wearing a ring must drink 2
  • Confession: Confess something about yourself or something you know about another player that either they don’t know you know about or that no one else knows about
  • Do Over: Put this piece back where you pulled it from and pick a different one
  • Down The Hatch: Finish your drink
  • Dud: You get away clean. No punishment
  • Flashback: Go to the facebook or instagram of someone not in the room, and like one of their photos that is at least a year old
  • Fresh Meat: The person who most recently had sex drinks
  • Gents: All the men must drink
  • Give 1, 3 or 5: Give 1, 3 or 5 shots to any players of your choice
  • Hands Across America: You must keep physical contact with the person to your right for the remainder of the game
  • Hand Switch: Pick someone to play with their opposite hand for the rest of the game
  • Heads Up: Toss the block to someone, if they miss it they must drink
  • I See London, I See France: You have one try to guess the colour of each players underwear. If incorrect, you must take 1 drink. If you guess correct, the other player must take 2 drinks
  • Ladies: All the girls must drink
  • Moving Violation: If you’ve ever had sex in a motor vehicle, drink 1. If you’ve done so while it was moving, drink 2
  • Mystery Shot: Everyone else in the game creates a mystery shot that you must drink
  • Never Have I Ever: Play a 3 finger game of Never Have I Ever. If you have done it, lower a finger. First person to lose all 3 fingers has to take a drink
  • No Guts, No Glory: You can no longer pull a center piece
  • Not It: The last person to touch their finger to their nose must drink
  • OH MY GOD, I had that same dream: Give 2 to the dreamiest person at the table
  • Rainbow Warrior: Pick a colour. Everyone must drink 1 for every article of clothing they have on that contains that colour
  • Rhyme Zone: Player picks a word and each player goes around the circle saying a word that rhymes. First person who repeats a word or hesitates loses and must take a drink
  • Santa: The next person must take their turn sitting on your lap
  • Scar Story: Tell a story that led to a scar on your body or drink 3
  • Social: Everyone must take a drink
  • Spelling Bee: Spell the first and last name of the person to your left backwards. If you get it wrong, drink 3
  • Strip 1 or 2: Remove 1 or 2 items of clothing
  • Take 1 or 2: You must take 1 or 2 drinks
  • 10% Lie: Every player who masturbates must drink 1
  • Tequila Threat: Do 20 shots of Tequila or drink 3
  • Thumb Master: You are the Thumb Master
  • Time Out: Stand in the corner of the room with your face against the wall until your next turn: No talking or drinking
  • Titanic: The ship is going down, so finish your drink
  • Top Swap: Change shirts with a person of your choice
  • Truth or Dare: Answer a truth from the person to your right or perform a dare from the person to your left
  • 2 Truths + A Lie: Tell 2 truths and 1 lie, everyone must guess which one was the lie. You drink for every person who guesses correctly
  • Voyeur: Give 2 drinks to every person you’ve seen naked
  • Waterfall: Player starts drinking, then the next person starts drinking and so on until all players are drinking. Players are not allowed to put their cup down until the person who drew the block does

That’s all the blocks I included in my game, now here are just a few more I couldn’t fit in but wanted to list because I loved them too much to leave out:

  • Big Cheese: Give 1 drink for every cheese you can name in 20 seconds
  • Bipolar: You must insult the person to your right, then compliment the person to your left
  • Ru Paul: Switch seats with a person of the opposite gender
  • Smug Happy Couples: If you’re single, give 5 to each of the smuggest couple playing. If you’re taken, you and your honey drink 5 each
  • Strike 3, you’re out: Drink 3 and skip your next turn
  • Summer Vacation: For the next round no one can make you drink.. or work!
  • Teapot: Perform ‘I’m A Little Teapot’ and give 2 drinks, or drink 4

I would like to give a huge amount of credit to the website: http://www.connactivity.com/~csniezek/Jenga/jengalist.html they have a HUGE list of ideas for your drunk Jenga game so if you’re struggling go here and you’ll definitely find something!

So then, just get creative! You can make your blocks as simple or as fun as you want – I went with lots of colours and a few cute drawings on some. I then wrote a list on paper of all the block ideas just incase the group doesn’t know what a piece means you can find it easily and continue on with the game!
